The shopping, restaurants and nightlife in downtown San Miguel are one of many  reasons that Cozumel is a primary cruise ship destination.  Cozumel is known for it's fantastic scuba diving and snorkeling on the world's second largest coral reef.  However, there is so much more to do!  Spend the day lounging at the popular beach clubs where you can enjoy parasailing, waverunners, ATV and snorkel tours, great Mexican food and tropical drinks served on the beach.  Rent a car and drive to the east side of the island, known as the wild side, where you will find miles of undeveloped coastline.  The uninhabited east side features pristine beaches with occasional beach bars to stop and take in the incredible view. Go horseback riding on a jungle tour or visit the historic Mayan ruins located on the island.  Charter a boat or catamaran to take you on a snorkeling or deep sea fishing adventure.
